Millie shifted uncomfortable through the park. It was the only place in this hellish inferno of a city with a decent shade, and temperature. "What an awful place to build a school. It isn't even strategically built to be defensible. Just a big target open from all sides!"

Millie huffed, and rubbed her arm on her forehead. The heat she could deal with, but not the lack of humidity. This was an all around unbearable place. Everywhere was a terrible place now. Everyone would be hunting her for this trial. Was this what her mother meant when she spoke of the thrill of the hunt? It was less romantic that she had made it sound.

For now, she seemed to wonder aimlessly. There had to be a decently sized body of water SOMEWHERE in this hell hole.

Boring day. Boring like the previous day, boring like the next day. Though, all Hazel did was drink coffee, train, study, and relax. Should probably go out and make friends or something.....Naw. Then again, why should she bother?

So far, she lost 3 weapons and 1 girlfriend. Found two little sword girls, decided not to be partners with them since one of them wasn't going to have it. Didn't really matter, just gonna keep going on with her day.....

Hazel was casually walking down the stairs, of the school, sweating. This, was terrible. As an ice witch, she normally never sweated due to her magic. But, she was now! "Oh, just relax in the hottub before coming to school, it'll be okay, Hazel. Yeah, is it okay now Agatha!" But, no matter how much she argued in her mind, it wouldn't make a difference. Just have to swipe more sweat as she marched on back home....Alone.....More alone since it was still in the middle of school

Millie sighed. She had searched this stupid place for hours, and the best thing he had found was a fountain, and that DWMA boy's bath rub. What an absolutely hideous place to live. It was really no wonder hardened warriors flow from this place... Although given Andre as an example, hardened might be a little too generous.

Gave a frustrated grunt. She couldn't do anything here without being attacked by meisters, and weapons. Use magic to cool her off. Kill humans for fun. Eat them when she was hungry. She audited in frustration, and kicked a rock full force, sending it soaring into the air, and off to the great unknown.

Hazel was almost at the park, which meant coffee. Oh, sweet, luxurious, heavenly coffee~ Whenever she was down or bored, there was coffee to help her, which was more then she could ask for. But, that was across the park and still a few blocks down. So, time to continue on with her travels.

Of course, being lost in these thoughts, she didn't see the rock coming for her. At her shoulder, too be exact. Right there in her left shoulder as she is sent flying into the ground. Landing flat on the ground in quite a lot of pain, it's better for her to just stay there and wait a bit....Ow....

Millie heard a thud echo back to her. Had she just killed something with that? It certainly didn't sound like it went through a window. ... Maybe she could eat it? Millie made her way towards the sound. She was almost excited. This might be the best thing to happen since she got here... Or the worse if it was Lord Death out for a stroll.

Pushing through a few bushes, Millie came to see the girl laying on the ground. She had to admit, the girl WAS pretty, but it was a damn shame, because it was still alive from the looks of it. "You dead kid?" She said in a dismissive tone, punctuating her -fascination- with a discontented sigh.

Hazel: No, I'm not.

Well, this person was a jack ass. Anyway, Hazel sat up, rubbing her shoulder as she did. Dislocated, maybe broken in a few places. Just great. At least this will get her out of gym for a few days, which was always a good thing.

But, for now, the main plan was to continue on with getting her coffee. Just may have to take a few detours here and there. And sit for a while until she worked up the motivation to walk.

Millie rolled her eyes as the girl rubbed her shoulder. "Why is everyone here so pathetic, and weak. Not one challenge in the lot of ya." She thought out loud, in a short voice. Strangely she felt bad about this. Maybe it was the fact that the Andre boy helped her. She thought for a second wondering how to make them even.

She walked to the girl on the ground, stretching out her arm. "Need a hand?" She offered. He plan was to numb the wound until the Hazel could get real help. She could probably set any bones back if she wanted to, but this was really all formality. She couldn't possible care less about the girl.

Hazel grabbed the hand, lifting herself up.

Hazel: Thanks. And I'm not pathetic. Name's Hazel Arlnest. Witch Meister.

Didn't think this person would kill her. Probably. Maybe....Eh.....Okay, probably shouldn't have said that last part.

But, it's too late now. So, she's just gonna rub her shoulder some more as she paces and thinks about what to do next. Mainly to avoid going up the stairs again, and the school hated it when she flew instead of walking....

Millie smiled. The pressure of the air pulsed a moment as she released her soul protect, revealing her witch soul, and muttered the words "Rend fin frenzy", and put it back up the next instant. Hazel's pain should be dulled as Millie's wavelength channels through her arm and cuts off the pain in her shoulder. Millie continues to smile as she released her hand. "There. I'm Millie. Witch, witch." She chimed. Her voice reflected no fear for the DWMA. She didn't see a reason to fear one of her own kind, regardless of their affiliation.

Hazel stopped rubbing the shoulder, rotating it in a circle instead. It was pretty great to actually be talking with another witch. And she seemed pretty okay with her being in the DWMA.....For now.

Hazel: Pleasure too meet you, Millie. So, what brings you here to Death City?

Trying not too make this too suspicious....Hopefully.....

Millie shrugged off the question as innocent curiosity. It was however obvious that she couldn't tell her the truth. That was, she was sent here by her family of cannibles to prove her place among their ranks. "Just checking out the school." She stated in a factual tone, and shrugged. "And don't worry. I've got no beef with Lord Death, or his toy soldiers." She added the fact which happened to be true. Witch, weapon, human, it didn't matter. They were all even prey.

Hazel nodded, crossing her arms over her chest. She had no real reason to be suspicious of Millie. Plus, if she was planning to kill Hazel, she probably would have done it by now, so there wasn't a real reason to be scared.

Hazel: Alright. I also didn't think you hated or were after the other students. If you were, you probably wouldn't have helped. Which I do appreciate, so thanks.

Her shoulder did still feel funny, but she can live with that since the pain is gone.

The students here were really far too trusting. Why didn't Millie want to use this to her advantage? This girl really did seem innocent. Hunting her would be too easy. Millie convinced herself that was the reason. Maybe a few friendly tips would make her better prey in the future.

"Hazel, was it?" She began in a pleasant, though slightly condescending tone. "Don't be so trusting of strangers. Anyone could help you to get what they want later." Like right now. Millie was telling her this because it would make for a more interesting pursuit later, right?... Right?

Haze gave an annoyed look at Millie as she tapped her feet.

Hazel: You really wouldn't go and hurt me, Millie? You have no quarrels with the school, so you have no reason to hurt or kill me.

At least she hoped. Probably couldn't take Millie on right now, given the conditions she's in at the moment. Maybe if her shoulder was better and had some iced coffee she can take on Millie, but now not.

Millie laughed to herself, almost proud by how easily the student had been unnerved. To think she was trying to do the girl a favor. Witch, or not, someone like this seemed fairly easy to kill. It was Millie's situation alone that kept Hazel outside of her stomach... Or that's what she told herself.

"In my case? Yeah. I don't have any bones to pick with ya." Millie leaned into an uncomfortable distance, less than an inch away from Hazel's face. "But it'd be a shame if I was lyin' huh?" She cooed, punctuating the dangers of naive trust with a boop on Hazel's nose with her index finger, and pulling away to a decent distance. "Catchin' my drift kid?

Hazel remained calm as Millie talked. And then squinted as she was poked on the nose. Great, a possible enemy. A witch, who was older, stronger, and probably had better fighting experiences.

Hazel: Yeah, I am.

She kept her arms cross, though was tightening her stance and tensing. Just in case this woman tried something funny....Well, deadly. Really deadly....

Millie couldn't help but laugh again. From this distance, it was easy to feel the girl bracing for some sort of impact, or preparing to run away. This girl really was fearful! Then again, judging by her courage, maybe she was just cautious. "Relax kid. It's insane to fight a meister in Death City, and you seem too friendly to make a good fight."

Millie tilted her head with the angle of Hazel's shoulder. "Wanna see what we can do about that, or have I made a bad impression?" Normally she would have shrugged the conversation off at this point, but finding a witch in Death City was a curious thing, and a rare opportunity for some neutral ground.

Hazel let out a small sigh, weighing her options. It'd be safer to go back to the school. And she wouldn't have to worry about risking her life. But, she hasn't had a real talk with a witch for a while, so this could also be interesting....

Relaxing a bit, Hazel took a small nod.

Hazel: No, you haven't. Alright, let's see what you can do.

Millie nodded in affirmation, and layed both hands on Hazel. She would add more of her wave-length into Hazel's body until her shoulder was completely numb, and paralyzed. She was somewhat of an expert when it came to anatomy, and adeptly massaged to the wound to find anything out of place. She still couldn't help but play with the fact, Hazel could be dead in the blink of an eye... That would be so boring though, not to mention incredibly stupid, pushing the bounds of suicide.

"So what makes a girl work for the those planning her genocide?" She threw out casually. There was no passive aggressive intent in the nature of the question, or venom in her tone. She was genuinely curious to what would drive Hazel to work for the DWMA.

Hazel grew very red. A bit with the massage and a bit with the question. Hazel wasn't really fond about talking to strangers about her past. Then again, she could probably trust Millie more then other students.

Hazel: well, my family was friends with some meisters and had made peace with the school. Dad was a sorcerer, and my mom had a bit of sorcerer blood in her. So, they weren't violent against the school at all. And I just decided to come here when I was old enough.

Millie has to put the better part of her will into not laughing at the girl. Red? From just that? She was simply adorable! This left Millie with a bad impression of the DWMA. Both students she had met were a complete mess, just waiting to be disarmed by blushing.

She considered Hazel's story. It ran closely to her own. "So, I'm not the only one who's delusional in that sense." She threw out half-heartedly, and pushed Hazel's shoulder back into place with a "pop". "I happen to be here after being tossed into the desert by my mother who sought to test my worthiness by throwing me to the lions. I guess that makes us both pretty dumb." She added, sounding a little remorseful. She continued her massage, trying to reduce the swelling, and tension.

Hazel felt a bit better with it back in place now, and was starting to relax more.

Hazel: My parents didn't dump me here. I decided to come on my home. Bad circumstances, family's dead, no where else to go, and boom. Here. My mom probably would have forced me to do something else anyway, though. She didn't want me to be at the school cause of the whole "Kill witches" Thing.

Millie nodded in understanding, still continuing her massage for a while until for of the tension was loosed at which point she let her hands lazily fall to her sides to dangle. "I don't blame her. At least your mother cared enough to not want you here. Mine thought it would be the only worthy testing ground. I think she's insane."

Millie circled to the front of her acquaintance once more. "Try not to forget that power is everything in this game. I've seen a lot of friends, and family try to play goody-two-shoes for the DWMA and end up dead on false charges. Don't buy into that fighting for justice crap they spill. There's a food chain here like anywhere else, and many meister pairs will make up any excuse if they think it'll get them up there. You're asking for it just being here." She stated in a cold tone that reflected her seriousness, and personal experiences on the subject.

She still wasn't sure why she felt the need to act so altruistic towards the girl, but she did. Even if she WAS a witch, she was DWMA. Why should Millie care what happened? After all, she had eaten a few witches herself. Maybe a friend in the city couldn't hurt though. She might be here for a while.

Hazel: I know the risk, and I accept them. If I'm not killed, the other students, or at least most, will look down on me. But, I accept these risk. My job is to go after kishin eggs causing troubles, which is what I will do. What the other students do or think of is non of my concern.

Hazel was not sure if this was the greatest thing to say, but it's what she felt. Even if she hasn't fought more then 10 kishin eggs.....Or if she can't keep anyone she loves with her. Bu those are minor....Major, details.

This earned her a nod from Millie. The girl still seemed to have a delusional sense of honor, or debt towards something, but either way, she was content to walk her own path. Whatever the motivation, this was worth of respect in Millie's eyes.

Millie granted the girl half a smile. "So, you've set your own way huh?" Set her own way. Yeah, it was time Millie did the same, wasn't it? "I think I'm starting to like you kid. May just be hungry though."

Hazel nodded, putting her hands behind her head. It felt good to have her approval, which Hazel returned with a half smile on her own.

Hazel: Thank you. Unless it is just the hungry, then I'm not that thankful. Anyway, you want to go out and eat then or something? Cause I don't have anything better to do and I'm hungry.

Millie's grin became a toothy smile at the suggestion of food. She was always in the mood to eat, and couldn't possibly turn it down. "Yeah, lets. After that, I'll be able to tell ya what I really think." She chuckled. "Why don't you lead? I couldn't find my way around here to save my life... Hazel: Alright, sure.

She started walking onward, heading to a cafe. Her favorite cafe, actually, which has a large variety of food. And there wasn't that much of a line, which was even better for Hazel. Cause now, at long last, a large frozen latte was waiting to be drank by her. Oh, such wonderful caffeinated goodness. Who cares about anything else, she has wonderful wonderful coffee~ Of course, she just ordered it normally, not acting like a moron.

Hazel: Alright, order what you would like.

Millie covered her nose at the violently caffeinated air. It wasn't particularly foul, but it was stronger than her sense would have liked. She could taste it, and it sent shivers to every corner of her. She should probably never drink this stuff. "Right..." She managed at the request, groaning a bit lightly. Most of the food here were pastries, but the shop had a surprisingly wide span of content odd to a coffee shop. She immediately prompted to order the item with the most meat on it. "So, how's the DWMA treat a witch with a clear back-ground?"

Hazel: Not that bad, so far.

Hazel's coffee came, and she took a careful sip of it. Ah, great. Just what she needed.

Hazel: They usually don't try to kill me, which is rather nice. Although, they tend to outcast me, and I'm having a hard time finding a weapon to use. A bit of a downside, but given what I'm doing, it could be a lot worse.
