A Burglary Gone Awry Empty
PostSubject: A Burglary Gone Awry   A Burglary Gone Awry Icon_minitimeMon May 05, 2014 1:20 am

Jessie was a rather unusual person. she could resemble a 16 year old girl easily. But there were problems. Firstly, she shouldn't have pure white ears poking through her chocolate brown hair. Secondly, she probably shouldn't have eyes quite that luminous. It was almost inhuman. But they were mere afterthroughs perhaps when compared to that long ferret tail which definately should not be there. It was long and white, with chocolate brown markings. It looked as if someone had sized up a ferret's tail untill it was proportional to a human body of her size. She was wearing a skirt of white and chocolate brown. It went down to just above her knees, no one could rightly call her immodest. It matched her 2 shirt so well that it almost seemed like a short dress. It matched her chocolate brown eyes and hair, which reached her shoulders. It was straight and well done. Jessie was fairly pretty, but she could never pass for a model or a movie star. She had curves, but lacked the fabled hourglass figure. Her breats were average, not the huge sizes that seemed to get men panting and drolling like babies. In fact, the only excellent quality about her was her skin. It was as her only really asset. It was perfectly soft and silky smooth, with no moles or scares or markings. It was that one thing about her physical body that was exceptional.

Jessie made her living mostly by traveling and thieving/burgling from others. She would travel, steal enough to live reasonably well for a while, and hit the road again. As a result, she was now nearing the point of her stomach growling. And she needed some food. Having an empty purse, she had been looking for a place to refill it with pilfered goods or simply money. But for now, she was likely to break in, steal some food or any monies someone was stupid enough to leave easily visible, and make a hasty retreat. That was why she was behind a tree examining a house just outside death city. Or technically it was inside death city. Jessie had watched the home for a while and it seemed to have little to no real security. (I asked Li beforehand.) and she was ready to break in. "Ferret Ferret Sneaky Ferret, Ferret Ferret Hidden Ferret, Ferret Ferret Stealthy Ferret, Ferret Ferret Silent Ferret." Jessie focused her magical powers around her body and the things she was wearing and carrying with her. And suddenly, no matter how she shouted or stomped, she made no sound. Jessie began chanting another mantra. Though no voice could be heard, if one could read lips, they would see her speaking another mantra. "Ferret Ferret Sneaky Ferret, Ferret Ferret Hidden Ferret, Ferret Ferret Stealthy Ferret, Ferret Ferret Unseen Ferret." Jessie again focused her magical powers around her body, and in the end, she was invisible. Now she was unable to be seen or heard. That left the only way to sense her directly as smelling her, tasting her, or feeling her. And she was not planning to allow being detected. But it would be easy to spot her if she screwed up. Money, food, etc. doesn't just levitate after all. Jessie walked up towards the door, staying a distance away incase it was open, listening for any sounds of someone being in the room beyond.

Li is 24 and looks like what girls would say either a hotty or hunk. He usually sits at his house during the night by himself reading or watching a movie in his living room. He never has visitors due to not really knowing anyone. He is usually either too busy with mercenary work or just not out going enough to really make any friends. He would like to have some friends or go hang out with people but instead he sits in his house tonight reading. He had his jacket hung up on the back of his chair thinking no one is coming over. He never takes off his jacket while being around others due to most girls either going nuts and drooling over him or just straight out fainting. He was wearing his short sleeve shirt which is black and his usual winter camouflage cargo pants.

Li Was sitting in his living room drinking a cup of chocolate milk. He was reading a Stephen king book called the dark tower. It was the second book of the series and he has always been fascinated with his books. He was sitting in front of a fireplace just below his HD television. It was late but he didn't plan on anything but to read and relax. Li then puts down the book and heads to the fridge to get more milk. He sets the cup on the counter next to him and opens the fridge. he grabs the chocolate milk cartoon to see that its empty. "Well i have to go into town tomorrow anyways so i'll get some then" He said grabbing the orange juice instead. He then grabs his cup and goes to the sink putting the cup in it sense it was last used for milk and grabbed a new cup from a cupboard above him. He then pours the juice into the cup after closing the cupboard. He then puts the juice back. He goes back to the living room and starts reading again setting his drink on the tabe next to him.

PostSubject: Re: A Burglary Gone Awry   A Burglary Gone Awry Icon_minitimeMon May 05, 2014 2:08 am

Jessie had almost given herself away, and it was just behind that door that she resented that she had failed to put soul protect back on. With her soul concealed for the moment, she got back to listening. She heard some movement, and after a minute or two, movement coming back. Perhaps coming through the first door wasn't the best option then. So she moved around the house thinking of the best way in. She looked through windows trying to get the lay of the house. With her invisibility and soundlessness, she could put her fist through the window without making a sound, if that wasn't tempered glass or something similar. So she had nothing to fear from looking through the windows. Jessie began to stroke Garret, her familiar, lightly. After a hard moment of thought, she set garret down, and let him transform. While no one could see her, someone might be able to see garret. and ferrets didn't levitate. Jessie sent the transformed Garret to head onto the houses roof, from which it would have a good view in-case she needed a rapid escape.

With that done, Jessie approached the font door and began to think. She needed a covert way in, preferably one that didn't put too much distance between her and anything valuable. She'd be happy if she could just make out with a bag of fruit, as it was more than she had. But while she knew the outside of the house, the inside layout was largely a mystery. She could create a clone, but for that she would have to take down soul protect to do it, and she didn't want to risk exposing herself again so close to death city. She wanted to ease her way in without performing any big magic. As a result, she was unsure of what to do. Jessie began to examine the edges, hoping for a glimpse of hinges. Unable to be sure if it would creak or not, she decided to use reason and leave that as the last resort way in. She instead looked around the house untill she could find an applicable window. Once she found one, she would break in.

Li was still sitting and reading keeping warm by the fire knowing there couldnt be a breeze due to his windows being locked. He then put down his book and decided to practice a few techniques pf his making his site enhance with the ability to sense movement around him and his hearing to be able to hear things no regular person could. He the walked around the house changing how much weight and pressure he puts in each step to tes the hearing first.

Jessie checked all over the house but found no windows unlucked. She could use magic to unlock them, sure, but that would mean she would have to dispell her soul protect for a time to cast the spell. And this close to death city, she wasn't going to do that. Frustrated, she returned to the door, trying to examine the hinges. She was about ready to attempt to pick the lock without magic, only to find that the door was not locked. Feeling somewhat confused and half foolish, she turned the handle soundlessly, and attempted to enter the building. Despite her slow motion and only opening it far enough to ease her way in, the door was squeaky. (I asked Li this exact question.) That was the big downfall of her silence spell. She could knock and beat on the door hard as she pleased and not make a sound, but because she sound of the squeaky hinges were not in any way connected to her, they were audible. Jessie was hoping the person inside missed that little detail.

She could jump on a piece of tin that would normally be very loud, and not make a sound, but if the wind blewor something else hit the tin, it would still be loud. Squeaky doors were her nemesis. And she was going to have to carry oil with her after this to solve that problem. Once in, she closed the door trying to be as silent as possible, then went and sat down in the most barren corner she could find, waiting to see or hear someone coming to investigate. She was hoping she wasn't found out. But she would have to wait and see, because she wouldn't move again until she was certain., or she had to.

Li was still walking when he heard the door creak. He stopped what he was doing and thought of a plan. He then shut off the lights to the house knowing he can see in the dark and still hear. He snuck up quietly enough to where he couldn't even hear himself and climbed on to the railing and stood on there and watched to see if anything happen.

Jessie listened for footsteps, waiting for someone to come back into the room, waiting for something to happen as surely she knew someone would be coming. The lights turned off. And now she knew someone was in the room with her. and clearly, her invisibility would do her little good right now, as neither of them could see anyway. Unless he did this so that he would have the advantage. Either way,s he wasn't going to move for a bit. She waited in the dark, invisible and silent, thinking about what was going on and how to get out safely. She could easily get out with magic, but she didn't want to risk being caught by someone with soul detect. Jessie stood silently, looking around in vain. Jessie began to think, before slowly getting into a crawling away from the door, the obvious place to go. Though invisible the fact that someone had turned off the lights seemed to indicate they had some plans for the dark, and she wanted to leave the room quickly.

Li using his sights saw saw movement going towards the door and jumps down quietly and sneaks up to the intruder and blocking all ways of exit by closing and locking the door and standing between the intruder and the only other way out. "whoever and what ever you are you may as well just reveal your self. i might just let you go anyways sense your not getting anything from here"

Jessie heard movement, a fair amount of it as well. Enough that it was clear someone was close. She heard a click that likely indicated the locking of a door, and then movement between her and the other exit. One door was lock and the other was behind the person she was attempting to steal from. That's was just perfect. That meant he did have a way of sensing her. dang that squeaky door! She would bring oil next time to solve that problem. but now her priority was getting out. A locked door was no real deterent. But in order to unlock it, she needed to release soul protect. And that would cause a problem. If this person could sense it, it could mean an imminent attack. On the other hand, she had no real way to avoid showing herself anyway. Jessie gave a muted sigh, one only someone who could see those invisible might detect from the movement of her mouth. She sat on the floor, and sighed agian, before dispersing her invisibility and muteness. That at least, she could do without ending soul protect. Though now she was visible. a 16 year old looking girl, who had white ferret ears and a white and chocolate brown ferret tail. That clearly was supernatural in some way. I mean teenage girls didn't get that in puberty.

"Dang." She spoke, no longer muted. She sat with her hands clasped on her lap looking down towards her hands, there was no point looking up, the lights were off after all. And though she had decent night vision, it wasn't enough to make out more than a humanoid shape. Anyone could see that much in the dark, unless they wer half blind to begin with. "Sorry..." She spoke softly into the dark, in the direction of the humanoid shape that was all she could see of the man with this darkness. She didn't release soul protect, but with that body, it wasn't like many clues were needed.

Li after seeing who it was snapped his fingers having the lights turn on as he does. He then goes up to the girl and takes a closer look. "telling from how you gave up so easily and how skinny you are i would say your stealing not cause you want but have to?" He asked now kneeling in front of her to get her attention. He sighs and then sits in a chair in front of her. "Why don't you stay for dinner?"

Jessie waited for a time, thinking, maintaining her sitting pose, face downward. She was caught. and there were going to be problems. Surely her peculiar features would attract attention. She might as well release soul protect at this rate. After all what normal human has those traits. She never would have cone in in this form had she had any reason to suspect that she might get caught. There was no security system by the looks, the door was even open. It was so open it was almost begging for someone to break in. There was a finger snap, and the lights flashed on, half blinding her for a moment or two. Then, as she became slowly more adjusted to the light, she could see him clearly. She could see that it was a him for one, though that voice would have been odd on a girl. He was quite handsome, but honestly she mostly ignored that fact. She wasn't the type to be taken in by idle beauty, though she didn't mind it either. His looks stood out strikingly when compared to her rather average appearance and shape.

Though that said it was unlikely that anyone was likely to pay much attention to her curves and breasts whens he boasted slightly unnaturally luminous eyes, and a matching pair of ferret ears. When the tail was added in, it didn't help much. He approached her now that there was light. She maintained her posture, looking somewhat downward as she sat. He kneeled as he then spoke. "telling from how you gave up so easily and how skinny you are i would say your stealing not cause you want but have to?" That was only really half true. She didn't really like stealing. that said, she wasn't the type to get mundane work. And she liked having various ferret features. however that made mundane work impossible as townspeople didn't much care for some freak with animal parts working for them. But more importantly, her familiar never left her side, and mundanes were not thrilled with bringing pets to work. That said, she wasn't all depressed over it. She preferred to travel a lot anyway, and this type of life granted her great freedom, though it cost her in having a safe place to return to. "Y...yeah..." Jessie spoke, barely looking up more, enough to barely see his face. "Why don't you stay for dinner?" Jessie looked up, smiling very slightly, and looked back down, then up again, but only half as much. "Okay...thank you...but...can you open the door? I can't leave my ferret out there too long alone..." The reason for the awkwardness was clear. Firstly, she wasn't exactly a chatty person with people she didn't know anyway. and secondly, she had been caught attempting to steal. The normal reaction would be to call the cops or beat her and throw her out, not offer her dinner. That said, she needn't worry about being beaten being a witch.

Li looked at her and smiled. "Also i'm not mad or anything and another thing, telling from your animal parts you are a witch. now i don't mind witch's at all so you have no reason to be scared." He said opening the door. He then headed to the kitchen and pulled out some food from the refrigerator and put it in the microwave and started cooking.
He put a few steaks on a pan and waited for the stove to heat up while the noodles were in the microwave. He then started preparing a salad. After about a total of 6 minutes the microwave went off and the steaks were done. He then took half the steaks and cut them into small bits and placed them in a bowl putting it on a platter next to the noodles. He then placed the last two steaks on separate plates and placed the salad bowl on the platter with the two plates.
He then grabbed the platter and walked out to the living room and set the platter on a table and pulled the table to where it was in between the two chairs they sat in. " OK, the chopped up steak is for, if you want to, noodles. You also serve your self." He said with a smile before remembering he forgot the silver wear "i will be right back" He said leaving into the kitchen. He came back with two forks and knifes and placed them on the platter.
"Well dig in" He said grabbing his plate.

Jessie watached as he smiled, then spoke. "Also i'm not mad or anything and another thing, telling from your animal parts you are a witch. now i don't mind witch's at all so you have no reason to be scared." Jessie was thrilled by this, it wasn'y all to common that people both liked her parts, had supernatural knowledge, and didn't want to kill her. A combination she would be all too happy if it happened more often. It got tedious being chased down my meisters. She wasn't evil, so why should they chase her? That said she wasn't really good either, but that was beside the point. He opened the door, and headed to the kitchen. She was glad he had opened the door. She just didn't like the feeling of poor Garret sitting out there hungry while she was inside, let alone inside and eating. Jessie stepped outside and began to call. "Garret!" She only had to call once before he jumped off the roof and returned to a normal form, all chocolate brown with a few white markings. The opposite of her most realistic ferret form.

Without waiting for an invitation or for Jessie to pick him up, Garret ran towards her, and climbed up her leg, across her stomach, up her back, and onto her left shoulder. Once there, he proceeded to nuzzle the side of her face, nad lick her left ferret-y ear. Jessie, attempting some manner of politeness, closed the door. She giggled softly and walked back towards the unknown person reacting to her thievery so unnaturally, as Garret continued to lick her ear. Jessie continued towards the kitchen, where he was moving around cooking. Jessie merely stood there, too awkward to sit or go in and offer help . So instead she stood near the entrance looking awkward, before taking Garret off her shoulder and tickling the ferret, causing it to issue a soft yet high noise and writhe around in her arms. She stood and played with him for several minutes, and ended up giving it a huge right as the man walked in with the platter(s), causing Jessie to give an awkward blush, and put Garret on her shoulder."OK, the chopped up steak is for, if you want to, noodles. You also serve your self." Jessie sat down on another chair, not his previous one, feeling awkward. "i will be right back" Garret went back to licking her ears, causing her to softly begin giggling again. "Well dig in" He grabbed his plate as he spoke. Feeling awkward het smiling and refraining from giggling because Garret payed no attention to the food and just kept licking her. Jessie waiting a half minute, before grabbing a plate and utensils. She added a little steak-noodles, the steak, and some salad on her plate. She wasn't a huge meat eater but she wasn't going to be picky in the least. "Umm....Thanks!" Based upon his comment there seemed to be no ceremony or anything similar, so she cut some steak, then forked it, speared some salad below the steak, and began eating, slightly blushing.

"No problem" Li said with a smile. "I am Li, What is your name?" He asked putting his plate down on the table and grabbed his cup he was drinking from before this whole thing happened and took a drink. He thought she was cute and didn't mind having her around. "Ok, one she is a witch...so why is she here and two...she is cute....wait why am i thinking this...seriously she just tried to rob me....Maybe i should give her a chance." He thought to himself. Before setting his cup down and waiting for a response.

"No problem" Jessie wasn't sure what to say here. She was trying to burglarize someone, and now she mysteriously found herself sharing dinner with them. What was she to do here? She wasn't really sure on that. She really felt the drive to leave, yet she didn't want to turn down the meal either, as an offered meal was rare enough. She cut more steak, speared some salad under it, and took another bite, thinking. But then he spoke again. "I am Li, What is your name?" His name was Li? more importantly he wanted to know hers. That could be a problem, and criminals are not known for giving their names. She'd settle on her first name only, like he had. "My name is Jessie" Jessie cut a small piece of steak and offered it to the ferret who climbed down to her lap to eat it. "Oh, and this is Garret the Ferret, my familiar." There was no point claiming it as a simple pet, she was obviously a witch. And someone who knew of witches probably knew of the simple fact that witches frequently took on magical animals of the type of animal the witch is based off. While marking Garret as her familiar gave away her animal type, it was obvious anyway with the ears and tail. Jessie ate some noodles, not particularly fast nor slow. She tried to think of more to say or do, but was quite confused and awkward in this situation, which was new for her.

So i prob know this answer but why did you try to steal from me? you dont have to tell me if you dont want to but if you want to keep me as a friend then you may want to." He said with a smile. He was basically ofering to be her friend even though he was starting to crush on her. "T-thats if you want a friend." He said before taking a drink from his cup to hide any blushing he may be having.
