Twas a rather bright night in Tokyo, lit up by the windows of various shops. Recently, a series of murders by the Kishin Egg T-Vo had occurred. The acadamy, wanting to stamp this out before it grew to be a problem, had sent a team to handle it. The pair of Raya and Luis!

Raya was extremely nervous for this mission. She shifted slightly on her feet and looked around with a frown, making sure she stuck close to Luis. She'd never been out of the country before. "So, um, we just need to look for TVs, right?" she asked, fighting the urge to hold his hand because she knew it would freak him out, and she didn't want that. Still, she was super jittery. This thing had been killing people, and they were about to kill it. Hopefully. There was still a risk that they would get hurt, and she had a bad feeling about it. She whimpered out loud when a man ran by, jumping a bit. Every little noise was startling her.

Luis sighed at the idea of -just tv's- in a city that had them on the side of ever building, and inside every home. Not that finding him in a city this large was a narrow game anyways, but the ability to travel through TV's meant if they found him, and he got away he probably wouldn't show his face to them ever again. "Calm down." He said in his usual tone. "You'll be worn out before the fight even starts like that." Luis scanned the area. It would be easier to find him if Luis spoke Japa-whatever.

A screech could be heard ahead of them, and the direction of the crowd changed, as people began to run away. Further, a noise that could only be described as the noise the Tardis makes when it lands could be heard.

Looks like finding T-Vo would be an easier job than they thought.

Raya swallowed hard and nodded to Luis when he spoke and then jumped again when the noise up ahead sounded. She did take Luis's hand this time, not even waiting for him to transform before she started to run toward the noise, her platform sandals that she'd chosen to wear for the occasion clacking on the ground. She was also in a black and purple kimono, since she'd always wanted to go to Japan and knew a lot of its culture. Unfortunately, this wasn't for pleasure, and she was terrified, her soul and body shaking as she tugged Luis toward the noise.

Luis stood, quietly analyzing the crowd, before being forced into a run by his meister. Mid-run he managed to make the transformation into weapon form. "Slow down Raya. Take it slow, save your energy, and focus." He spoke softly into her mind. This thing had been growing bold, and gaining power, so his abilities had probably evolved from the intel. They would need to be careful about this.

They would finally come upon the clearing, where they would spot T-Vo. Covered head to toe in burlap, with his long claws, he was struggling to drag a woman into what can only be described as a portal that was connected to a small television. "KRAH! ZOSHAK JI MAKAKAKAKAKAK! BABABABABABABABABABABABABA! CA CAW, CA CAW! WHOOOP WHOOOP WHOOOP WHOOOP!" It turned, and spotted both Luis and Raya. "ZOG! NO GER TA FOKA?" It spoke in what can only be described as a gibberish language. Judging from its body language, it seemed to recognize them. "BORK BORK BORK BORK! U NO TAKE T-VO!" With that last piece of gibberish, it lept into the portal, which slowly began to close. Perhaps if Luis and Raya hurried, they could reach the portal before it shut.

"I'm trying," Raya whispered shakily and skidded to a halt when she saw the creature, still shaking quite a bit when it spoke. She looked like she wanted to crawl into a corner and hide herself. She didn't know what to say to it, and closed her eyes to take a few deep breaths. As soon as the portal started closing, she seemed to snap back to reality and run forward, her trembling grip on Luis tightening as she leaped into the portal, twisting around backward so she'd land on her back when she fell.

Luis felt the tension of his meister in their resonance. The freeze, the return to the real world. At least she caught herself fast enough to think on her feet. Even still, this may not have been a good idea. If they killed the monster here, they couldn't know if they would be trapped. "Doing good." He assured, recognizing her performance paranoia.

The portal lead to a.....

Forrest? What show was this? It was a rather clear day wherever they were, and there was a trickling stream. It seemed....rather peaceful.

"NO! U GO AHWEY! U GO AHWEY! OOGA BOOGA! LEAVE T-VO ALONE! NO TAKE T-VO!"

It was the kishin eggs voice, from a bit ahead of them, along with a growling noise.

Raya calmed down a bit at Luis's praise and let out a soft whoosh as she got to her feet, looking around with a deep frown at the area they'd ended up in. She looked over at the place the Kishin Egg's voice came from and she cleared her throat, a bit of sympathy washing over her at the creature's primitive ways of speaking. She put Luis's weapon form down and took a few steps toward the voice, bending down. "Hey, can you come out now?" she asked in an almost gentle tone.

Luis face-palmed in the reflection of the sword. "What are you trying to coax it out? It isn't a cat stuck in a tree you know?" He spoke in a tone every-bit serious. She may have been wise in using this to draw him out, but it was important she wasn't feeling all mushy about it. "Just remember we're here to kill this thing, right?" He ended shortly.

A crashing noise would be heard, as.....

Orcs? They had green skin, and looked like what one would call an Orc. This must have been a fantasy tv show. Three in total, they wielded axes, black with dried blood.

"YEEES, YEEES, MY ORKIES! GOOBA POOBA! KILL THEM! SLAY THEM! FOOKA GUHIGO NABLACK!"

Brandishing their axes, they let out a howl before rushing Raya

Raya flinched when he yelled and froze a bit when she heard the things running out. Her blue eyes rounded in fear and she turned around to run and pick up Luis and twist around just in time to block one axe from landing on top of her, gasping in fear as she tensed, squeezing her eyes shut. She wasn't really strong enough to knock the creature away, but she was strong enough to keep herself from dying.

Luis felt odd at the sensation of being struck with an axe, yet feeling nothing. He wouldn't waste anymore than a thought with it however. Seeing Raya locked with one of the orcs, Luis decides to fire his boosters to knock it away, or better depending on how these orcs fared. "Hang on." He gave a brief warning before the rockets blasted to life.

The rocket blast....

Well, it quite litterally fried the Orcs face off.

"ARGH! ARGH! ARGH!" It screamed as it recoiled, clawing at its maimed face. The other Orcs, meanwhile, looked at one another, and ran off. Huh. Not very brave. Of course, the same Tardis sound that had signaled the opening of a portal could be heard once more.

Raya gasped when the rockets blasted and ended up falling on her butt before she got right back to her feet, her adrenaline pumping fast through her blood. She immediately ran for the portal, trying to beat T-Vo there. She managed to get to the portal, jumping through it without a second thought to try and keep up with the creature.

Luis let a smile seep through as the girl landed on her rear. He was pleasantly surprised at the girls initiative however. Not something you expect from someone that trips over a tree-stump. Luis bit his mental tongue. There was NO way that he was jinxing this.

The world they exited in...

Was completely grey. And rather dark. They seemed to be in a monochromatic alley.

"HAHA! I TRICKED YOU! NOW YOU IN NOIR SHOW! NERGU BHUFU KHUNDU! HARV FUN BEING MOOGED!"

"Twas a rainy night, when Shorty and Rockets showed up in town. Of course, like all newcomers, they didn't last long, landing up in Jay DeVito's turf. A cesspool ran by a madman, the place was like a roach motel. You checked in, but you never checked out."

Suddenly, from the end of the alley, approached four monochromatic thugs, cracking their knuckles. "Well what do we have here, boys? Looks like someones trying to move in on our turf!"

Raya hesitated greatly as she saw the thugs, her hands starting to shake again as they tightened on Luis's handle. Her mind was whirring with thoughts, and her soul was starting to waver again, that determination fading as she sized up the large thugs. She couldn't help but question if Luis would protect her if worse came to worse, and she didn't realize she was "thinking out loud", but not though her mouth. She was so confused and her brain was working so much that she was sending thoughts through the soul wavelength, "Am I going to be able to fight these guys? Will we die? Will Luis fight or run away?"
In the end, she chose to run at one of the thugs and swing the sword as hard as she could - which was pitifully weak, in most people's opinion. Especially toward a grown man. It might cut about an inch through the skin, if she was lucky.

Luis silently listened to Raya's transmissions, assuming she wasn't aware due to the way he was being addressed. "No stopping." He stated in a calm, almost cold tone. Aware of the attacks speed, Luis activated the rockets, propelling the sword forward, adding velocity to Raya's swing.

Moving forward at a blinding rate, the sword tore into the thug, who, with a surprised look on his face, suddenly found himself impaled. Falling down dead, a pool of blood formed under him. Looking at one another for a moment, the thugs slowly began to back away. "L-look, w-we don't w-want any trouble."

"HWY ARE ALL MY GARGLE FARGLE MINIONS SUCH XOXING COWARDS. NARG BLARG DARG! FINE! GONNA SEE HOW U LIEK MUDKIPZ!"

Once again, a tardis noise could be heard.

Raya's eyes widened and she put a hand over her mouth at the sight of the blood and the dead man, shaking hard as tears sprung into her eyes. She hadn't meant to kill him. Still, she decided that now might not be the best time to have a meltdown. She'd cry later in the hotel room. She sniffled and brushed a hand across her eyes, but tears still spilled down her cheeks, dripping off her chin as she started after the guy again, tightening her grip on Luis until her knuckles turned white as she jumped through the portal again. She was clearly starting to get physically tired.

Luis noted Raya's discomfort, and fatigue. "Listen, that guy wasn't even real remember?" He spoke softly once more. "Just a little more. This guy can't run forever." He called confidently. In all reality he was quiet worried about Raya's performance, and marked himself lucky, once more, to be an autonomous weapon.

They would land on some metal walkways, on.....

Were they in SPACE? What the hell?

"DEM DEM DEM! GHGHDSJ! I SKROOWED UP! DIS NO MUDKIPZ! DIS DOKTA HOO! GIBBITY FLIBBERTY GIDGID GADGET!"

Suddenly, at the end of the hallway, they could see what looks like a pepper pot advancing, an odd stick like device sticking out of its front. "IDEN-TI-FY! IDEN-TI-FY!"

Raya looked surprised at their new location and looked at the thing that was coming nearer to them, not wanting to destroy it just in case it was friendly. She sniffled and brushed her hand across her eyes. "Identify... Raya Vale, Meister from the DWMA," she told it with a sniffling hiccup.

This a moment where Luis really felt he should know more about television. He knows he's heard this thing before, but from what, he had no idea. Trash can with a plunger rammed into it couldn't possibly be a threat... could it? "Don't let your guard dawn." Better safe than sorry. Nerds love to drive home the -don't judge a book by its cover- bit.

Raya gasped and managed to scramble out of the way just in time, but the sword went sliding from her hand across the metal floor when she tripped and fell flat on her stomach, coughing when the breath was driven out of her. She got to her feet quickly and hurried over to pick Luis up again, eyes round as she watched that thing, not sure how to fight it.
