| So this is an idea I just came up with. Basically, an unknown witch tries to make contact with another dimension, sealing away several souls and essences from the animals there into a crystal or orb or something. Whoever attempted to resonate with the object would be gifted with the essence and soul of one of these beasts but, in an attempt to absorb multiple beasts, the witch's soul was ripped apart. Someone finds the object, absorbs one of the spirits, and goes town to town trying to recruit people in search of power to follow him in exchange for one of the spirits. Here's how the whole thing would work. The characters in this group would be entirely new Kishin Eggs. Once someone absorbs the monster's essence, they automatically go Kishin because they're also absorbing a "Pure Soul" (because Kishin don't exist in that world). The Kishin would immediatly start out with the ability to turn into the monster they're based off of from the game and gain their skills as they eat more souls. HOWEVER for the sake of balance, each monster form has to have some crippling weakness to keep them from being overused. For example, being extremely vulnerable to wavelength attacks, becoming increadibly slow, losing their intelligence to the point of being distracted unless the enemy attacks first, increasing their vulnerabillity to bladed weapons, etc. Maybe the monster forms could start out with smaller-scale abilities the human form has yet to gain. Like the Royal Ludroth Kishin would be able to shoot water blasts in their monster form, but wouldn't be able to do it in their human form until 30 souls. Then both forms would gain much more powerful water blasts. IDK because it would have to be balanced out a bit, but it could be cool. Other than that, I was thinking it might be good to allow one male and female character from each type of monster so that if someone takes the Barroth and goes inactive, another person can still use it and have a kind-of different interpretation of what abilities it could have, just as the opposite of the first person. Also, it might be cool to have their new names after joining the order be a broken up backwards version of the original monster's name. Like Gigginox would become "Xon Iggig" or have the Lagiacrus Kishin be known as "Surc Aigal" or "Su r'caig Al". Might get a bit confusing if 2 people have the same monster but different genders, but it would ne a neat way to come up with unique names for the characters. ----------------------------------- EDIT: Some general ideas of monsters that exist in the game that could make a pretty good character. I havn't beat the game so IDK about some of the last few big ones except for Dire Miralis, but this should help for now until I can start linking pics, stats, and other information that could inspire some neat abilities. Skills gained from the monster's armor are left out for now in the sake of fairness to the monsters who's armor abilities I can't remember right now. - Spoiler:
Great Jaggi: A large raptor-like frilled dinosaur. Has no special abilities except summoning smaller jaggi to help it fight. Not much to work with for a character, but I respect anyone who could make the weakest boss in the game a viable Kishin Egg.
Great Wroggi: A jungle-dwelling species of Great Jaggi that shoots poison clouds from it's mouth and summons poison-shooting wroggi. Not too tough of a monster, but there could be some cleaver setups with it.
Great Baggi: Ice-based Great Jaggi that have ice-based jaggi. They shoot out ice that somehow puts people to sleep on contact.... Might be good as a stealth character or something because you can knock out people easier? IDK........
Qurupeco: Giant green dinosaur birds with teeth! These things can use sound to mimic other monsters, create firy explosions by banging their wing-claws together, spit green acid goo stuff, and fly away. Definatly some versitile ideas to make a character from.
Royal Ludroth: Iguana-like yellow giant lizards with sponge manes that shoot water balls. They swim, have sponges growing on them for armor, and shoot water.... That's it........ Maybe sponge armor could be useful for wavelength but IDK what else there would really be to work with outside of normal water blasts.
Gobul: A giant ambush preditor fish with a large mouth. It hides underwater in the dirt, pops out, and sucks prey down it's throat whole. The Gobul can blind people with it's lantern, dig underground easilly, has spikes that come out of it's back like a pufferfish, and a really dangerous bite. I imagine it would be a bit wierd to work with for a character, but it definatly just screams "Kishin".
Rathalos/Rathian: Basically a male and female dragon. They breathe fire, have poison spikes on the ends of their tails, can fly, and have really nasty talons. Both have very little to work with for abilities, but screw it, dragons are awesome!
Barroth: Large t-rex like monsters covered in rock armor with a lot of protection on the tops of their heads. They roll around in a wierd mud that hardens and strengthens their existing armor as well as protecting unarmored areas. Also, they seem to have some wierd breathing thing going on because air comes out of holes at the tops of their rock plate things on their heads. If you go with forming the hardening mud or steam attacks, there's quite a bit to work with. Oh, also, they can dig somehow dispite being huge and having a giant flat rock thing on their head :/
Lagiacrus: Serphant-like sea dragons that have a giant spikey rock shell thing on their back used to generate electricity. Early game, it's regarded as super powerful so, if your human form can create the lightning generator thing on them, whatever you do with the electricity I'll consider legit. JUST because of how built-up this thing's abilities are.
Gigginox: A flying wyvern parasite thing. It can climp on walls, fly, shoot poison, and create wierd nest-eggs that form leeches. Personally, I'm going to make my OC a male with the Gigginox but for anyone who wants to do the female, there's some useful stuff there to work with.
Nibelsnarf: Large sand fish things that have big mouths full of teeth. They mainly charge forward, partially submerged, or hide for a bit before attacking. They have the natural ability to shoot sand out of their gills behind them with enough force to knock people back quite a bit, and are able to shoot giant hyper beam-like streams of sand at people. That may sound limiting but think about it.... Death City is surrounded by a desert.......... Sand wouldn't be unrealistically hard to come by in most situations.
